Please Vote - First Date Contest

The Southern Social, the hilarious and wise Twitterista and blogger, is hosting a fun contest here, in which entrants submitted a Polyvore first date outfit appropriate for spring in Atlanta.  Given that I love little more than telling people what to wear as well as the Lilly candle at stake, I just had to send along a Pretty submission:

I am a shameless hussy, therefore I have already voted for myself and  kindly insist that you do the same right here.   Please pay no attention to the fact that everyone else, including some of my most favorite blogettes, submitted equally worthy choices, much of which I dearly want to buy. Particularly that little Marc Jacobs clutch.  Bugger.  Voting ends Friday, so as our Chicago friends might tell you, vote early and vote often!

For Those Who Tweet

Loves, for those of you not in the Twitter game, please feel free to skip ahead to tomorrow, by which time I hope/ pray to the shoe deities that I can actually find a picture of the perilous heels for which I need (need!) your opinion.

For those of us who dabble in 140 characters or less, realizing there aren't any correct answers here per se, I'd like your take on the following:

     - Do you try to follow everyone who follows you?  The non-sketchy followers, that is?  If so, do you do so because it is polite? Because it drives up your following numbers?*

*It's OK - we can be honest here today.  But just today; I mean, who isn't a fan of polite lies?

     - If you do try to follow everyone back, do you find it possible to meaningfully interact with that many people? 

Edited to Add:  I have not been following everyone back up to this point, mostly for this very reason; I so enjoy the banter & keeping up with the people I follow, and am afraid of overburdening my reading (and therefore cutting down on the interaction) as I have occasionally with blogs.  

     - Do you ever unfollow? Even if it is someone you "know" via your blog or theirs?

     - Should I be concerned that so many, ahem, "life coaches" want to follow me?

Fantasy Vacation Shopping a la Anthropologie

Now that I've gone and blathered on about my study abroad adventures (or lack thereof) and other things international, I have the travel on the brain. I'm not complaining - much - having been lucky enough to enjoy a Mexican getaway just recently. I'm also, you know, sorta grateful for being employed at the moment. However, some Fridays a girl just wants to get gone, as in, seriously gone.

So when I happened upon Anthropologie's happy little January '09 catalog, as my Twitter lovelies know, my AmEx and my passport commenced their traditional two-step of anticipatory glee. To better allow you & me to jettison off to that imaginary happy, beachy place, or perhaps for those of you who are honeymooning or off to vacation paradise soon, I bring you my summery favorites without regard to expense or reality and stuff:

Dazzling Light Shift: perfect for summertime dinner on the patio, yes?
Pivka Necklace: I prefer to minimize the beachy vacation jewelry, but this is so simple &
ideal with a casual shift.
The Artist's Tote: too lovely for the beach, but just right for a nice dinner out afterwards.
Crocus Bud Peep Toes: Rare is the vacation day when I can be talked out of my flips, but these
would be ideal for an afternoon of window shopping.
