I Am Not Proud

On most bloggy days, I attempt to bring you only that which I deem eminently Pretty.  Something to amuse and distract you from the fact that I am not sitting around devising solutions to the banking crisis or Somalian piracy, but am in fact simply full of, er, nonsense.

Reader, today is not one of those days.

Oh.  My.  Awesome.  

After last night's viewing of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" preview - yes, my TiVo and I are running a bit behind - I hereby renounce any claim to taste or discernment.  If you're looking for me come May 4th, start with the Garden State;  I'll be the one frantically running around to get enough Botox and Big Hair to keep up with my new television best frenemies.  

No, I am not proud, but I am deeply entertained.  I hope you have an equally amusing weekend.

Bandwagon = 1, Me = 0

Try as I might to avoid the TV trends and only watch Underappreciated, Ironic Television (Please see: The Kids in the Hall) , I confess that I too have joined the "Mad Men" bandwagon. Obvs. am in love with the stylish fashion & cinematography, but I'll argue that it's well-written and compelling to boot.

Having been on the lookout for a favorite new drama since my old favorite (rhymes with "Shmey's Fanatomy") completely and utterly Jumped the Shark, and having enough embarrassing reality shows on my viewing schedule already, I shall endure and eventually recover from the blatant bandwagoning and just be pleased to have found a good new show. Despite the fact that I crave a vodka martini for the entire 60 minutes of it, and I mean that only in the best way. And despite the fact that no one, and I speak from experience here, looks even close to this pulled together while riding an actual horse:
