Show of hands - who's relieved I'm not discussing my defective ladybits today? Me too!
Speaking of good things, it seems fitting that the Target + Neiman Marcus collection is coming in December because, like with Santa Claus, I want to believe.
When I heard Tory Burch and Lela Rose and Diane von Furstenburg, oh my, mentioned in connection with this, visions of Christmas wish lists began dancing in head - for me *and* for my loved ones, that is. I'm not entirely selfish. OK, maybe mostly, but . . .
Anywhoo, Target & Neiman Marcus released a first look at the collection. In typical Target special collection fashion, some of it looks promising, while some it just looks . . . well . . . like the designer slapped his or her name on a cheap item and called it "designer" (*cough* Marc Jacobs*cough*).
Here's what looks best from the previews, though as always with these collections, I'll hold off on a review until I see them in person. I wouldn't call these prices the usual Target budget level; there's definitely a mark-up, and I'll be curious to see if the quality merits that:
1) Lela Rose top, $69.99
2) Lela Rose dress, $99.99 (or "$100.00" in normal person pricing)
3) Tory Burch beverage container, $24.99, and lunch box, $19.99.
4) Thom Browne blazer, $129.99
5) Jason Wu girls printed dress, $59.99
Because I am insane, I plan to be there when stores open on December 1st; if any of you care to join me, I'll bring the coffee if you'll bring the credit card. Who's in?

I am debating going very early to Target this Sunday morning to get the Nate Berkus tortoise shells that I have nowhere to put. That seems like I should stay home, now that I've written it out.
I like what I see so far, although I am always poised and ready to get my heart broken with designer / discount store mash ups.
I'm in. Shall I book a plane ticket down to Austin?? I think that will REALLY mark up that Target price, huh??
I want the DVF yoga mat. Elbows up, ladies!
Me! Me! I am ALL over that ruffle top (I think its Lela Rose).
I had no idea they were doing this! I'm a little skeptical but will definitely check this out. A little dissapointed they didn't really run with this. I mean a TB thermos and lunch bag and an Alice and Olivia bike for $500?
Ohh I like the blazer. Gimme!

I was a little underwhelmed with the line, so I think I'm going to hold off on showing up on the 1st. I'll see if there is even anything left in store. Oh, and why did the little girls get all the good dresses? *Pouting*
