OK, fine - I may be adding that last bit, but since I'm in the business of trying to be Pretty that's we're focusing on. Plus, it's my blog. So there. Nanny nanny boo boo.
Soooo about that dressing up thing: a friend's wedding invitation came with the non- Emily Post attire direction of "Dress up!" We guests brainstormed on what in Neiman Marcus that could possibly mean and landed on cocktail attire, given the evening time and trendy hotel setting.
All of which is code for "YAY, I found a fun dress on sale and had the excuse to go out with the Anonymous Husband!" My Instagram friends got a sneak peek, but here are the rest of the oh-so-exciting details:
Oh, you know, just getting dressed up to pose for photos in my backyard, no big deal.
A poltergeist invaded the top of this photo - surely it was the Ghost of Embarrassment of Taking Photos of Yourself in Your Backyard ("GETPYYB")?
I decided I was having a Megan Draper '60s moment and went matchy-matchy with the accessories.
outfit details: dress (Milly) / earrings (vintage - thanks to my friend C!) / clutch (old Banana Republic) / shoes (rhymes with Schmalentino, never to be linked to here due to occasional husband reading) / ring (old Kendra Scott) / bracelets (old Kenneth Jay Lane & Lulu's)
Yes, yes - what we wear isn't the stuff that truly matters, but if we have to leave the house in clothes they may as well be Pretty ones, right? Right?

Great find! The dress really accentuates your (teenytiny) waist. I have to admit I scrolled down really fast to see if you would link to the shoes, HA!

Look at that profile! I love your hair swept back like that. Just a little rattail comb to tease the top and you are totally channeling Joan.
you look amazing lady. For real. That is an amazing color on you. And your legs are smoking. I mean that in the least creepiest way possible ;)
