That being said, I'm hugely enjoying these accent vlogs started over at Jenna's Journey, particularly you Southerners with that dra-a-aaawl & Jersey-ites with that, well, Jersey who deny you have an accent at all. Kittens, *this* is what a non-accent accent sounds like, by way of a Southern California upbringing and some six years in Central Texas.
Please note in the comments not only my lack of an accent but also my striking resemblance to Grace Kelly neveryoumind the terrible roots. Also, remember back when I was an "anonymous" blogger who mostly talked about shoes instead of myself & my child? Me neither.

I have to say, as a Canadian, even the "non-accent" bloggers have accents ;) I'm loving this vlogging phase -- might have to do one myself.
okay you win the non accent accent contest. least accent out of everyone. but i might have to send you up "north" to dallas so my mom can teach you some phrases.... so you'll feel like a native and such.
oh, and... you sound exactly like i expected.. and exactly like what i think i sound like (?) (so we really all think we have no accents?)

I agree with you, no accent there. Not surprising, as I am a fellow West Coaster, so I believe myself to not have an accent either. I tested it out with a summer in Upstate New York this year and yep - no accent compared to everyone else.
However, as an Oregonian, I will keep the Oregon-California battle over the name of carbonated beverages alive: It's Pop!
I also feel compelled to say - I am highly amused by how many vlogs include comments about they don't have an accent. But I disagree, and the vowels give it away!!!
I am so glad you posted this. I literally just debated with friends about the LACK of accent that we have! It's hard to explain but compared to many other places we do not have accents! it is seriously a lack of an accent! I understand that to foreign people we have accents (duh) BUT the California accent is so flat and really a non-accent.

I don't detect any accent whatsoever. :) I love watching these videos! The consensus on me thus far is that despite my Georgia roots, no accent present here either. Whew.
