I'm particularly liking this all-white accessory trend; not all white in the Diddy-in-the-Hamptons party sense - although I certainly would welcome the invite - but as a tasteful, fresh neutral to pair with the bright teals and greens and pinks of summer. The happy news is, this appears to be a trend with fab options at all price points.
Yes, Etiquette Mavens, I am chatting about wearing white pre-Memorial Day. I hope you don't find this too shocking, but I have adopted the post-modern* "Whenever it's miserably hot, hopefully after Easter, get your whites out" rule. Not to worry, though - I'm still writing thank you notes aplenty and generally being uptight about everything.
*Post-modern = I'm making this up, but hoping it sounds impressive.

- "Chanel J12 Diamond White Ceramic Midsize": As Holly Golightly might say, this is the Absolute Finito of the ceramic watches, the one that set the white accessories trend in motion. As I discovered on my Chanel window-shopping adventure & discussed later with SLynnRo, this watch is to be coveted and admired from afar. "From afar" because, unless you are an oil baron/baroness, or whichever baron/ess is en vogue nowadays**, this basic model will cost you a rough $5,800.
**Health insurance baroness? Doesn't quite have the same ring . . .
- "Michael Kors Ceramic": I nominate this as my pick for the best under $500 reasonable (recognizing "reasonable" is relative) choice. This is simple and elegant in typical Kors form.
- "Adidas Wooser Collection": I will forgive the giant logo for the budget ($60) price and sporty style.

- "Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Bowling Montaigne GM": in the Pretty Pantheon of handbags, this shall be mine just as soon as my omnimedia empire takes off.
- "Botkier Trigger Clyde Satchel": Thanks to the lovely Bama Belle, I spied this bag on her site just today. I've seen this bag before, but something about its clean, yet interesting lines in this crisp white sent my AmEx aflutter. This might be love, and I might have tracked this down on top-secret super-sale and ordered it. You know, just theoretically.
- "Target Merona Satchel": another solid budget choice ($24.99). As always, I recommend you inspect a Target bag in person before ordering, but I've had great luck in the past with Merona bags.

Beautiful. It's hard to wait until after Memorial Day out here, but I think I deserve a pretty white bag this year!
Ohhhh....I LOVE the purses! Since we don't know how long the white trend will be around, I might be hitting up the local Target to check out their bag...it looks super cute online, but you never know in person. And yes, Austin is fixin' to have a summer that is center-of-Hades-hot, I think...bring on the white.
Even High WASPs say you can wear white whenever you want. And since we must bear the responsibility for having made the rule in the first place, it is with great pleasure that we repeal it. Especially for the Chanel ceramic watch.
Fret not, Easter is clearly the acceptable milestone by which one measures the appropriateness of white. Take it from the WaspyRedhead. Love the watches. I need some new wrist candy, I've taken to wearing my Timex digital POS that links to my heart rate monitor 24/7.

It would seem Easter is the appropriate time in the south to get out your whites. Notsomuch in the north. People in the midwest (or at least in frosty Chicago, which doesn't generally warm up until mid-June) still go by the 'not before Memorial Day' rule. Maybe more out of necessity than for fashion's sake. I did, however, pack a lot of white into my mid-May trip to Italy last spring. No one knew me there anyway and it seems highly unlikely the laid-back Italians have such silly rules.
I LOVE white watches. I want one! I can't afford the Chanel one, but maybe one of the lesser ones? Ever since Mrs. McCain wore hers last year to the convention, I think everyone wants one. I had dinner with a friend the other night and she had one on. Now I'll be the copycat. ;-)
I love the white bags but with 3 kiddos this summer, I dare not. I'll leave that to you pretties.
The rule for me is white after Easter and before Labor Day. It's too damn hot around here to wait until Memorial Day! :)
And I LOVE the price and look of the Michael Kors watches. So perfect. The Chanel watch is fantastic, obviously, but I can afford those Michael Kors watches! :)

I have a TOY watch, and I lurrrve it. It's clear and beautiful and perfect. Minus the broken band, but I promise I'm getting that ish fixed.

White accessories and clothes are the best! I'm firmly of the camp that believes we Texans (and those in other hottish areas) may wear white between Easter and Labor Day. I've been rocking white pants, handbags, and strappy sandals since Easter.

Great bags! Ditto about the Target inspection. They have great budget friendly options but sometimes the materials leave a little to be desired.
Yes, I'm commenting a week too late - but I felt compelled to let you know that while I love the Merona bag, the straps keep falling off my shoulder and it's driving me crazy. Not sure if I'll make it this summer with the bag. I was reluctant to spend a lot of money on a white bag because I've been on the fence in the past regarding white accessories...but that has ALL changed. I'm in love! More purchases to come....
